The union representing CP Rail employees says about 400 workers
are set to walk the picket line across Manitoba as part of
nation-wide strike.
Local Teamsters union business agent Eric Jorgensen says the
rail workers will take strike action Wednesday.
He says workers in Winnipeg work at the rail yards on McPhillips
and Keewatin Streets, while other crews going on strike are
spread across the province.
The workers will reportedly join other CP workers walking the
picket line as part of a national railway strike.
Jorgensen says a federal conciliator has been appointed help
resolve the dispute.
CJOB's Colleen Bready reporting.
