Congratulations Rick!
Source: TCRC Division 76
February 6th 2008 Locomotive Engineer Rick Masek completed his 35
year career Wednesday February 6th 2008 in Winnipeg arriving at the
Diesel Shop booking inn room around 2030. He was met by many friends,
co-workers, Union Executive and CP Managers. Vice President of the
Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Douglas Finnson was on hand as well to
offer congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the Union.
Rick started his career with CPR as a laborer at the scrap dock in
1973, he later transferred to the Running Trades and qualified as a
Locomotive Engineer in 1984. He also served as the Secretary Treasurer
of Division 76 for the past 5 years. Dick's skills and professionalism
will certainly be missed by all at our monthly Union meetings.
Dick has a trip planned to Mexico next week after which he further
plans to travel with his wife's work as well as spend time on the
highway in the summer months aboard his motorcycle touring the country.
On behalf of all of Dick's co-workers we wish him congratulations and a
long happy, healthy retirement. A true Gentleman.
